Yuzheng Sun has a PhD in Economics from Cornell and is an operator, author, and founder based in Seattle. He founded Superlinear Academy and AI Builders. His defining idea is to make work whose value outlives the moment of making and clearly bears the maker's distinctive judgment and craft.

## Dated Public Judgment

Two public videos in April 2021 explained the limits of the dominant AI paradigm and how to distinguish useful machine-learning applications from impressive-looking demonstrations. In February 2023, before GPT-4, Yuzheng wrote [关于ChatGPT最重要的五个问题](https://www.superlinear.academy/c/ai-resources/chatgpt). A [public snapshot available by 2023-03-06](https://www.huxiu.com/article/812076.html) argued that ChatGPT was a new natural-language interface to data and computation and reasoned forward to falling inference costs, tool-connected workflows, persistent memory, direct result delivery, and ChatGPT-native systems. The living article preserves its original probabilities and later records two major errors. Private search and the Microsoft 365 Copilot section were later additions, not part of the pre-GPT-4 snapshot.
